Who we are
We are a group of environmental activists from the Tug Hill Region of New York who came together in September of 2024 to organize our efforts around a set of common values. These values include living more sustainably, reducing waste, conservation of our natural ecosystems, and promoting local regenerative agricultural practices. We are working to educate the public and encourage our businesses and government officials to take steps to curb the climate crisis. We provide opportunities for our community to learn about simple ways to live more sustainably and in harmony with our beautiful and unique Tug Hill ecosystem. Together with other local environmental groups and community organizations, our Chapter is working to share information through presentations and tabling at local events, provide opportunities for the public to participate in regenerative agriculture through our community gardening initiative, and assist our leaders in committing to 100 percent clean, renewable energy by 2030.
